Humming bird

Couldn't take my eyes off these cloisonne beads and topped them with crystals. Sterling silver wires and finishings. [*]

Blueberries

These remind me of one of my fav fruits- blueberries. I would eat a fistful of these in one go and thereafter possess a blue tongue for a couple of days. My thai roomate then, would take several nibbles of one blueberry much to my bewilderment. Kinda explains why she's Ms Twiggy and I, Ms Piggy.
Blue amazonites topped with light blue crystals to give it a tinge of sparkle. [*]

Jewels

Faceted milky agate in beautiful jade green in sterling wires and ear hooks. [*]

Lampwork

I don't see many of these glassbeads around in Singapore but they're quite popular in Australia and the states. I'm always fascinated how each of these are made and many of them doesn't quite need 'dressing' up as they are lovely to see on its own. This one has a combination of pink shades with a black background and mustard coloured shades in between. I had another pair which was bought by a customer last week, I wished I had captured a picture of it. [*]

Pink berries

Happy Easter

Today is the day where Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This significant event marks the central faith of the church and is the focal point for Christian worship. I won't go into its history as I'm no theologian and have a long way to go in terms of being a faithful Catholic. My grand aunt prays for me all the time (bless her soul) in the hope that I don't go onto the dark side (I need all the help I can get). But still, in my limited knowledge of Easter, I know its significance enough to celebrate this day with much joy, faith and peace.

Happy Easter.

Joline

Gorgeous jasper stones, shades of green where no two are the same. Two swarovski pearls to add a further touch of elegance. Sterling silver wires and hooks.

Of mess and daisies

It's amazing how messy my dining table is. Once I start on my beading project, there'll be a splatter of tiny wires on the table with my different boxes of beads and tools and earring stands. At the end of the day, I pack everything and fit it on my little shelf so as to make space for the dinner dishes. I need a bigger table just for me! I often marvel at the mess and then I look at what I did as a result of the mess and I laugh coz out of that big mess- one or two pairs of little creations. It's funny how much work and mess goes into something before you get to see your creation. Dirt and flowers, storm and rainbow, ingredients and dish, clay and sculpture, fruits and juices come to mind when I think of mess and beauty.

I couldn't resist taking this picture. A single daisy peeps out of the fence and makes its presence known.

Felix

Black onyx topped with swarovski pearls for the elegant girl who likes the understated.

Juliet

Beautiful agate in translucent green as if dipped in milk. I've topped it with swarovski pearls in light cream rose. Balinese caps for an elegant finish. Wires and hooks in sterling silver.

Chrissy

These beads have an encased chrysanthemum flower and it has specks of glitter that reflects the light. I've topped it up with aventurines. No need for other finishings as it stands pretty on its own. I part with it relunctantly :) [*]

Alicia

Found these gorgeous plastic beads in lime green with a beautiful flora design topped with swarovski crystals. Light weight, unusual and pretty! [*]

Labradorescence

I find the Labradorite a fascinatingly beautiful mineral. When viewed from the proper position, they can produce a colorful play of light of colors range from the typical blues and violets through greens, yellows and oranges! Sterling silver adds a final touch to this pair.
