today i sat across a weary old man in boots on the train. it was about 7pm and i wondered if he was going home to his wife and children. or maybe he lived alone and was going to skip dinner and just fall into a deep sleep.

two little girls sat beside him. they looked like friends. one had her head on the other and the other hugged her while she slept. their mothers were chatting. i wondered if they would still be great friends when they turn 44.

three tall strapping young men stood with their huge backpacks and map in their hands. londoners perhaps judging from their accent. i wondered if they liked singapore. i wondered if it was their first time here and whether they took well to the heat. i wondered where they were headed next. it must be nice travelling round the world and not knowing what adventures await you.

have you wondered about the people you meet fleetingly and whether your paths will cross again? i do that sometimes. especially on mondays.

it's blueberry season again. oh yum yum. i wish these were in season throughout the year. i first place them in my favourite bowl and then i pick the bigger ones and leave the smaller ones for my husband *evil laugh*.

this picture is missing a cat at the front door. i bet i can curl up as good as a cat and nap as good. but rats, i have no fur. it wouldn't look right curling infront of some stranger's door without fur. oh well.

benefit. indeed.

last week, i learned the benefit of using benefit's lemon aid. essentially, you use this as a base and it helps the make up on your eyes to stay. everyone seems to know that you need to use a primer (yes, there's a fancy term for this) as a base for your eye make up except me. no one tells me this. when i put eye make up on, they get onto my lower eye area and by the end of the day i look like a creature of the night. i always wondered why others looked so great with their eye make up and i just assumed they paid good money for super sticky eye make up or they just had super eyelids. no one tells me about these things. until an innocent lunch converation last week.

in my boring week, this is indeed big news. i can finally look pretty again without looking like the ultimate warrior. i love benefit cosmetics! i love their whimsical candy store presentation with female characters from the 70s who give whimsical advice.

i am back from the doctor. my mom in law, bless her, decides to cook me some porridge. i am down with a mild fever and a throat infection. because of the continuing h1n1 virus saga, i am alot paranoid and decide to see the doctor this morning. the doctor gives me the day off and asks if i was at singapore's rehearsal birthday bash the day before to which i replied yes and to which he laughs. it seems i wasn't the first one in the clinic to have this happen to. i am just relieved it isn't the h1n1 i'm having, but more like a party hangover. i was really determined not to get sick. but sheesh just a few hours in the rain and this happens. i have poor immunity.
